Decision guide

When does what make sense

If you plan in phases — with longer breaks between builds — you're better off with credits. They don't expire.

If you modify regularly you save with a monthly subscription. From about 25-30 images per month, Build Monthly is cheaper than the Standard credit pack.

Why not just ChatGPT or Midjourney?

Fair question. Both can edit car images too. AfterMod is focused on tuning visualization — that brings three concrete advantages:

    The input is easier. You describe what you want without having to deal with prompt engineering.

    Before/after comparison is built in. With generic tools, you have to click back and forth between images yourself.

    Your builds stay saved. You can compare different setups over weeks without recreating everything.

If you don't mind that and get along with ChatGPT, that's also a valid choice. We're building AfterMod for tuners who want to use the tool deliberately.

Do I have to pay before seeing the result?
No. You always see your first result before paying anything. 2 visualizations are completely free — no account needed. With a free account you get 3 more, no credit card required.
What happens when I cancel my subscription?
Your subscription runs until the end of the paid month. Separately purchased credits remain yours — they never expire.
Can I switch from a subscription to credits?
Yes, anytime. You cancel your subscription at the end of the month and buy a credit pack instead. Or use both in parallel.
What happens after the free visualizations?
You choose what works for you: credit packs (never expire) or a monthly subscription. Both are listed above on this page. You only pay if you want to keep visualizing.
How does billing work?
Via Stripe — credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay. Subscriptions renew monthly automatically, cancellable anytime.
Do subscription visualizations expire at month end?
Yes, unused subscription visualizations expire at the end of the billing period. If you plan to work in phases, credit packs are better — they don't expire.
What happens at the Unlimited fair-use limit?
Above 400 visualizations per month, you'll see a notice in the UI, and processing time may increase. For extreme usage, we'll reach out personally.
Are there student or hobby discounts?
Not built in currently. Write to us — if you're in a tuner club or apprentice workshop, we'll find a solution.
What if something doesn't work?
Email aftermodco@gmail.com directly — you'll get a reply within 24 hours, often sooner. At our current size, every email is handled personally — no helpdesk ticket carousel.
